Birth of Garlic

Birth of Garlic

February a few years ago:  desperate to try new macro lens on something. Found old desiccated head of garlic in back of fridge.

The Garlic has landed

The Garlic has landed

OK, it's still February and there's still sleet hitting the windows, but now I've got a picture of a head of garlic.  Where to put it?  Somewhere flat, somewhere that reminds me of summer.  The pad under the Mulholland Lighthouse on Campobello would be just fine if I could get rid of the actual lighthouse...

Wait! Now that garlic is two stories tall.  Oh, it's actually a galactic space traveller in a spaceship cloaked as an Earth plant.

Audience with Pope

Audience with Pope

OK, we've got a space traveler making his first visit to Earth.  After landing somewhere remote, he sets out to find a world leader.  His database is a bit sketchy about "Earth", especially on issues of time.  He does know that the Pope ruled the Christian world from his castle in Avignon in the 14th century.  So, he requests an audience.  One of the Avignon Popes replies (from Heaven) that he would be glad to see Garlic.  They meet in a great hall of the papal enclave, the Pope appearing by divine time-link.
